Sound Life

Last night we had a massive game of Catan. Actually, I played two games...I played Catan for over six hours yesterday. The first game I won, against Hugh and Emiko, and the second game was with the expansion, causing it to last four and a half hours. Some people take the longest damn time on their turns.

I made a massive amount of chili last night. I'll have to gues that it's about...10 portions. I guess I should freeze about half of it, since I won't want to eat chili day in, day out for the next week. Yesterday I had chili with toast, and I think tonight I'll have some with white rice...there's not much else I can think of that will go well with plain white rice.

I went to the mall the other day with Mat, Nicole, and John. I was looking at a few DVDs in Sunrise, and a few board games at the games store there, but didn't buy anything. I only wound up buying my chili ingredients, and a Nalgene bottle. Yes, that's right. I've given in to a fad. I figure it will serve me well next term though. I'm usually thirsty when I get to class, from drudging around campus, up and down stairs, plus I've heard that drinking good amounts of water helps keep you awake. I'd rather be drinking my own filtered water than stuff from fountains.

I think some of us might be going to see Harry Potter tonight. I'm all for it, if I can use my movie pass. I've still got a huge colleciton of movies to watch, but I guess I don't really have a good tv to watch them on.

Well, off to play scrabble and do laundry!
